Plays for Adults
These plays, even where they were performed at times in schools, were presented to adult audiences.

Talking Balls
Commissioned by Women and Theatre, this was a piece that was performed 'Vagina Monologues'-style, as rehearsed readings. Researched with men in Birmingham and the Midlands , the play explored men's experiences of Testicular Cancer and other related fields. Performed initially on a tour of Football Clubs. [Co-written and researched with Michael Aduwali and Janice Conolly]

Violent Times
Commissioned by Theatre Absolute, Coventry, Violent Times is a psychological drama, exploring the dying patriarch of a dysfunctional family, confronted by his returning daughter, who is hell-bent on righting the wrongs of the past.

Heads or Tails
Based on extensive research, Heads or Tails follows the important story of Steward Street School in Ladywood, and their remarkable experimental journey, teaching through the arts, as the bombs dropped. Written originally for Big Brum, directed by Rob Marsden, it was toured to community venues as well as schools. The play was translated into Korean and performed at ASSITEJ World Congress in 2002, and given a second UK production in 2005, again by Big Brum.

Roy
Based on a true story of the last man hanged at Birmingham Prison, and researched from interviews and court records, the play centres on a young man who is exploring the case of Roy Grey, executed for the shooting of a newsagent in 1962. Opened at MAC and toured to theatres and community venues as well as schools and colleges. Commissioned by Big Brum and directed by Janice Connolly in 1989.
